TECHDECK Internal Floating Roof
TankTech is a leading manufacturer of the internal floating roof (IFR). TTA manufactures TECHDECK IFR’s conforming to API 650 Appendix “H” and we exceed API 650 appendix “H” load requirements. Pontoons are extruded and are of greater strength and better quality than other similar design available in the market today.
TECHDECK is designed using the latest computer aided design system and high strength, high quality aluminium alloys can supply the strongest lightweight IFR. TECHDECK IFR is continuously reviewed and upgraded based on latest API regulations. TECHDECK is designed for a live load of 750 lbs / sq. feet at any point on the deck. Higher live loads to meet specific requirements can also be designed.

TECHDECK is made of lightweight material. Due to this, the pressure exerted on the peripheral seal is low; ensure free floatation, better sealing and extended seal life.
TECHDECK reduces the vapour losses considerably. The total emission from a vertical fixed roof tank of capacity 5500 kl storing gasoline 414 kl lbs per year. By using TECHDECK Internal Floating Roofs the losses are reduced by 98% to 8 kl lbs per year.

TTA Stainless Steel shoe seal for IFR is designed for maximum sealing efficiency, longevity and chemical compatibility. These have better performance and longer life than wiper seals. TTA Stainless Steel Shoe seal is made from materials that withstand harsh chemical and environmental conditions. The metallic components are corrosion resistant stainless steel and aluminum. The standard vapour barrier fabric is laminated TEFLON which is resistant to most products.

Constructed entirely on aluminum utilizing proprietary component fabrication our domes are corrosion resistant, maintenance free and designed for extended service life.

The roof shall be a dome structure(s) conforming to AWWA D103 and conforming to the dimensions of the tank with fully triangulated all aluminum space truss complete with non- corrugated closure panels. The roof shall be clear-span and designed to be self-supporting from the periphery structure; primary horizontal thrust shall be contained by an integral tension ring. Provisions shall be made in the design to allow for thermal expansion of the dome and its parts over a temperature range of +/-120°F.
